Chutima Therapy was founded in 2009 and is managed by Chutima Bellan, who has passionately worked within the Beauty and Spa industry for many years, having experienced the physical and mental health benefits of regular massages throughout her years in native Thailand. Whether in luxury hotels or under palm-shaded beaches, it has inspired her to share this revitalizing experience with her clients. She started treating clients on her own and has built up a solid base of loyal clients who appreciate a truly healing therapy.

Today Chutima Therapy has become a leading Thai massage and spa treatment rooms in Brighton, combining international standards with Thai hospitality, to deliver personal wellness needs. Time and time again we are told that our treatments rooms are the most elegant and tranquil across Sussex, with 3 treatment rooms, a nail station and a fully stocked retail shop dressed in contemporary Thai style.

Meet the Chutima Therapy Team

Chutima Bellan : Head Therapist

Chutima is the head therapist*. She is exceptionally well trained to deliver holistic and beauty therapies. She has received comprehensive training at one of the World’s best Spa and academy, Chiva-Som whose sister resort on the Thai coast is a frequent health focused hideaway for many of the world’s A-list celebrities.

In 2006, she also trained in Thai traditional massage techniques at Wat Po (Buddhist temple) Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand’s oldest and most renowned holistic school. Chutima has international qualifications skin therapy and Aesthetic Treatments (Facial, Waxing, Nail Care, Electrical treatments). She continues to develop and refine her extensive knowledge in traditional healing and advance holistic therapies

Sukanya Gurney ( Nam )

Nam is a Senior Therapist* at Chutima Therapy. She has been practicing massage since 2009 completing a certificate in Traditional Thai techniques and benefits of Thai massage therapy. Nam trained at the world-renowned Wat Po Thai Traditional Massage and Medical School in Bangkok before coming to UK continue her training in advance massage, Thai herbal compress and beauty in 2010.

She works with sport injuries and likes to advise clients on lifestyle, nutrition, stretching and muscle strengthening techniques to adapt her treatment to suit individual needs whether you require deep work or a more subtle approach and enjoys working with the client to achieve maximum results.

Jiraporn Klinhom ( Taii )

Taii is a Senior Therapist* at Chutima Therapy and has been involved in the well-being and beauty industry since the age of 14. She has trained in massage and beauty in both Thailand and the UK. Much of her skill has been handed down through her mother (a practicing therapist also) from her grandmother – a unique method designed to be relaxing and stimulating, improving flexibility; it reduces tension, stimulates internal organs, and balances the body’s energy systems.

Taii specializes in the treatment of sports injuries but has also extended experience in treating conditions such as headaches, lower back pain, frozen shoulders, knee pain, sciatic pain and many more.

Joe Angellus ( Joey)

Joey is a level 4 Fitness Trainer & Senior Therapist*. He specializes in mobility & rehabilitation, sciatic management and sports-injury-related, deep tissue treatments. His Traditional Thai skills were handed down to him at an early age, from family members passing down their knowledge. In 2013 he joined Chutima Therapy having qualified in remedial massage and since then he has added many strings to his bow, including Hawaiian styles taught to him on the Island of Kauai. He is able to apply both a clinical and holistic approach to his treatments and is popular for his strong treatments and understanding of the human body.

Duangporn Burd ( Tammy )

Tammy studied massage at the Thai School of Massage in Bangkok and has been a practicing therapist since 2009. She has worked in Thailand and in UK  Spas and has been based in Brighton since 2012. Her specialties are Traditional Thai Massage, Thai Herbal and Thai Facial treatments.

Alice Chandler ( Ali )

Ali qualified in 2015, at the College of Classical Massage, Brighton; specializing in deep tissue, pregnancy and also has a background in the Indian healthcare system Ayurveda. Ali spent time living in Thailand and India, where her enthusiasm for massage, yoga and holistic therapies began. She is passionate about holistic healthcare and believes that every aspect of a person; mind, body and spirit can benefit from receiving massage therapy. She finds working with clients on an individual level extremely rewarding, incorporating advice on soft tissue flexibility and well-being.

Polly Skeet ( Polly )

Polly trained in Holistic Massage at the College of Classical Massage in 2014, where she studied various modalities of massage such as deep tissue, sports, Thai techniques and pregnancy massage. She has since gone on to train further at the Jing institute, as well as studying and working as a practitioner of Auricular Acupuncture since 2017.

Her interest in different forms of body work came from her time living in Asia where she got to experience the benefits of different eastern healing systems. Her passions still lie in many different modalities of Eastern energy work, which she incorporates into her practice alongside her knowledge of more clinical western techniques.
